讲座人简历：K. Thirumalai 博士曾是美国交通部的首席研究工程师、美国国家研究委员会交通创新项目的高级经理、美国国家自然科学基金委土木工程研究小组主任。他毕业于德国弗赖贝格工业大学，在交通系统的遥感运用领域发表了超过100篇的学术、技术和政策论文。
Dr. Thirumalai is Research Professor with the George Mason University and Research Director for Multimodal Transportation Systems. His experience include leadership roles in research and management of innovative technology application for transportation in his former positions as Chief Research Engineer with the U.S. Department of Transportation (RSPA and RITA); Senior Manager of transportation innovations programs (IDEA) with the Transportation Research Board (TRB) of the National Research Council; and Research Program Director for Civil Engineering with the National Science Foundation (NSF). He graduated from the Freiberg Technical University in Germany and is author of over 100 publications in science, technology and policy issues and remote sensing technologies applied to transportation systems.
